Denial of the Canadian Visa

The Canadian Visa can be denied because of a number of factors that we will look at in this section. In most cases, the visa is denied when a clueless person applies for the visa at the embassy while not conversant with the dos and don’ts while applying for the said visa. On the flip side, there is a silver lining to the denial of visa. This is where we as “Visa to Canada” come in. We know exactly what to lookout for and how to remedy the situation so that a second application can go through successfully.

Keep in mind that the letter of rejection that applicants get after visa has been denied cannot reveal much. As a matter of fact, it’s actually a standard copy that is printed out to everyone whose application is rejected by the Canadian immigration officers. You will find that some of the reasons given may include:

  • Didn’t persuade that will come back from Canada
  • Not enough reason to go to Canada etc.

But really these are generally not the real reasons for most rejections.

So how can one know the real reason for visa application rejection?

When you’ve got visa application rejected it is necessary to request CAIPS

Let’s discuss what CAIPS is and what it can be drawn from it. First of all we’ll have a look through the electronic systems that the Canadian immigration services use for processing the visa applications or for immigration.

CAIPS – Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System

The CAIPS is comprised of notes made by immigration officers located at Canadian embassies around the world.

These very notes need to be obtained and read to understand the real reason for the visa application rejection.

CAIPS can be requested here

It should be mentioned that CAIPS can only be obtained by a Canadian citizen whereby you need to sign a given document that authorizes the said person to request for the CAIPS on your behalf.

This is where we come in to help our clients since our employees are in based in Canada and are actually Canadian citizens. We are therefore able to get your relevant CAIPS information at your request and authorization.

FOSS- Field Operation Support System

FOSS is comprised mainly of immigration files located in Canada. However, in some cases, they also include notations made by overseas staff in Canadian embassies. This system is used primarily by Points of Entry (POE) officers to record the entries and exits of foreign nationals.

This is the system of notes made within Canada and in most cases includes notes made while crossing the Canadian border. In most cases we don’t really need them while analyzing the reason for your visa application rejection.

GCMS – Global Case Management System

The GCMS is CIC’s new integrated and worldwide system used internally to process applications for Canadian citizenship and immigration services.

This system is mostly used for information exchange while processing an application for a Canadian visa. This is mostly useful while analyzing immigration visa rejections. In cases pertaining to the visiting visa application rejections, we refer to the CAIPS.

What can CAIPS notes give us in relation to visa application rejection?

Unlike the rejection letter received by the applicant, CAIPS contains detailed notes about all the verification procedures made while processing the application whereby every point made is commented by an immigration officer. If for instance during your application processing the immigration officer called to your work place then it will be noted herein together with all that transpired in that call. The officer also notes his/her thoughts there too.

This clearly shows that having a look at CAIPS can clearly reveal what exactly led to your application being flagged and ultimately rejected.

At “Visa to Canada” we not only request for CAIPS on behalf of our clients but also analyze it to understand what happened. We then give recommendations on how to go about remedying the situation. To top it all, we will submit the application a second time for our revered clients while following all stipulated procedures to ensure that this time round the applications go through.

In short, in case of a Canadian visa application denial, we can work around it and help you get one.
